New Actavis brand to be showcased in games running May 3-19
We are pleased to announce that Actavis will serve as an Official Sponsor of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships in Stockholm (Sweden) and Helsinki (Finland), May 3-19. As an Official Sponsor, the new Actavis logo will appear both on and beside the ice during all 64 matches and be viewed by nearly one billion TV spectators in 115 countries The sponsorship will be continued at the 2014 World Championship in Minsk, Belarus.
This sponsorship provides an ideal opportunity to increase consumer and customer awareness around the world of the new Actavis logo. Additionally, with ice hockey being a popular sport in several of our key markets, including the United States, Canada, the Nordics, Russia and Germany, the sponsorship provides unique opportunities to connect with customers and partners and showcase our products.
The new Actavis logo will be highly visible during the championships. It will be on advertising boards in the stadiums as well as on event promotional materials and included in 30-second commercials in Sweden and Finland.
We are working hard to use this opportunity to promote some of our OTC (over-the-counter) products, including iWhite, a new teeth-whitening product that will be launched this year in the Nordic countries and Flux, a fluoride mouth rinse product also available in the Nordics.
The IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual men’s ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). First officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics, it is the sport’s highest profile annual international tournament.
The countries competing this year in the world championship are:
- Competing in Sweden: Czech Republic, Sweden, Canada, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Belarus, and Slovenia.
- Competing in Finland: Russia, Finland, Slovakia, United States, Germany, Latvia, France and Austria.
The final game for the gold medal will be held in Stockholm on May 19.
